Desliza hacia abajo para español. Texas is such a big state that you can find a lot of things to do without going too far. Seriously! Wine lovers: go to Fredericksburg, a small town 70 miles northwest of San Antonio surrounded by many wineries and vineyards that will motivate you to travel more to this area.
Eduardo and I drove during the weekend to this place and, personally ended up charmed by the little stores, the hill country, the vineyards and the very unique vibe of this historic town founded in 1846, and influenced by the german heritage.
If you decide to go, part of the trip is stopping by the wineries… but if your don’t have enough time, then visit the Central Shopping District, also known as “The Magic Mile” and you will notice that there aren’t chain stores, just local shops which makes the experience more authentic.
We couldn’t help but do some wine tasting, actually one of the employees at Grape Creek Vineyards on Maine explained that people can walk with glass of wine because public consumption of adult beverages (beer, wine or liquor) are legal and encouraged while shopping!
That day we had to drive back to San Antonio, therefore Eduardo and I are planning to go back and this time with friends and family to show this part of Texas.
- Relax!
- Cheers!

Postcards from San Francisco
